Contact-free magnetic coupling / Variable speed drive

The Zytec contact-free magnetic coupling connects rotating equipment (pumps, fans, etc.) without physical connection. This provides many mechanical benefits, eliminates the root cause of failures making the installations more reliable. Furthermore, the coupling is also a Mechanical Variable Speed Drive (M-VSD) without harmonic pollution. The process is controlled by adjusting the air gap of the contact-free coupling, which changes the speed of the pump. This way, the pump can be placed in its optimum operating point and up to 50% energy can be saved compared to flow limiting equipment.
